The TRA1906 Side Cord guide provides support for the operating cord and prevents sag over long distances. An 'L' shaped steel strap mounts with an M12 bolt set through a clearance hole in the top. The vertical arm of the mounting carries two 40mm diameter black Nylon ball raced capstan pulleys mounted one above the other. Above the top capstan pulley is a cord keep bush which traps the cord and carries a pivoting plate referred to as a 'flipper', the lower end of which reaches the centre of the bottom capstan pulley. The 'flipper' stops the cord from falling out of the guide whilst allowing the master or scenery carrier to pass by. A close fitting rubber sleeve is also fitted on the 'flipper' to reduce any contact noise.
